Property and Cancelation Policies :
Life happens. We get that. Reservations are fully refundable 48 hours prior to check-in.
Travelers who cancel 48 hours or more before 18:00 on the day of check-in are charged no fee.
Travelers who cancel less than 48 hours before 18:00 on the day of check-in (including no-shows) are charged for one night’s accommodation plus tax.
Failure to arrive for your reservation will result in a no-show charge of the first night including taxes.

You will receive your room key via text-message virtual delivery. Digital guest registration and check-in MUST be completed electronically.
Arrival and Departure Times:
Check-in at 3:00 p.m. MST; we’ll be ready for you!
You can check-in any time after 3:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. Room keys and check-in instructions will be texted to the phone number provided at the time of booking on the day of check-in. A valid photo ID is required upon check-in, as well as a “selfie” capable mobile device with active Wi-Fi or cellular data capabilities.
Check-out at 10:00 a.m. MST
You can check-out any time up until 10:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Later check-out times may be requested although we may not always be able to accommodate late changes and will depend on availability and on how busy we are. At check-out time our virtual concierge will provide instructions for departure. We hope that you enjoy your stay and will leave us a raving 5-Star review.
Housekeeping Information:
Daily housekeeping may be available by request for additional fees to the guest. Simply contact your virtual concierge. We will schedule and notify you of the cost.
We offer complimentary mid-stay cleaning services for stays of 5 nights or longer. Mid-stay cleaning service will include a linen and towel change. Contact your virtual concierge to schedule.
Smoking Policy: The Hotel Melrose is a non-smoking property. This applies to both traditional smoking methods and all electronic delivery systems, including vapes, vaporizers, vape pens, hookah pens, electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes or e-cigs), e-pipes, and Colorado-grown green products. Any smoking in the rooms or strong lingering smoking scents in rooms will result in a minimum $500 room cleaning fee.**Any damages caused by violation of the policies are subject to charges of 100% of the cost incurred by the management company.
Damages: Property damages or missing items will be charged at replacement value to the credit card provided. Please report any pre-existing damages or room issues to your host immediately. **Any damages caused by violation of the policies are subject to charges of 100% of the cost incurred by the management company.
For the respect of others quiet times are between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am .
Bicycle Policy: Bicycles are not to be stored in the rooms. We have a secure bike storage area for your convenience.
Pet Policy: While we love furry friends, The Hotel Melrose has a strict No Pet Policy. Our historic hotel has close quarters and we want to ensure an excellent experience for all guests. However, under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), we accept service animals defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability.
We do not allow emotional support, therapy, comfort, or companion animals because they have not been trained to perform a specific job or task, and therefore do not qualify as service animals under the ADA. Please call us for any questions regarding your service animal at 970-317-2176. There will be added charges for deep cleaning and linens if there is an animal in the room without our knowledge, starting at $500. **Any damages caused by violation of the policies are subject to charges of 100% of the cost incurred by the management company.
Alcohol Policy: The good news? We have a bar! This means, by law, we can’t allow any alcohol to be brought onto the property. To uphold this law, we require all beverages on the property, including the patio, be purchased through the hotel, with the exception of transparent, see-through water bottles. Drinks purchased through the hotel are not allowed past the bar or patio area.
Minimum Age: All guests must be 21 years or older to confirm guest room accommodations at The Hotel Melrose. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification. We note that The Hotel Melrose is designed for guests aged 18 and older. Minor children under the age of 18 must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian present at all times during their stay at the hotel. Parents will be held responsible for disturbance or damage caused by minor children and may be asked to vacate the hotel in the event of a disturbance.
Firearms: Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms. Subject to the following restrictions, guests of The Hotel Melrose who are lawfully permitted to possess a firearm may bring such firearm onto hotel premises, provided that the presence of the firearm on hotel premises: is for storage purposes only; the firearm is and remains at all times unloaded; the firearm is and remains secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container, provided by the guest, while transported to or from the guest room and while stored therein; and the firearm remains securely safeguarded at all times in a locked guest room or locked personal vehicle, except when transporting the firearm to or from a guest room.
Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises immediately and without refund. The hotel premises are private property, and our firearms policy applies to: (i) all firearms, regardless of whether the firearm is a handgun or a long-barreled gun; and (ii) all guests and visitors, even those possessing a valid license or permit to carry a firearm. The only exception to the restrictions described in this firearms policy statement is for law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties.
Guest Safety: As part of our commitment to guest safety, employees will not disclose the identity, room number or presence of a guest to anyone other than appropriate law enforcement. Safety cameras are used throughout the premises, and anyone on our property may be recorded. The Hotel Melrose is managed by local property management company, Fort and Home, and will be monitored by them. Our main doors are locked 24/7 and are only able to be unlocked by registered guests using their Flexipass Digi-Key. Our bar entrance on the west side of the hotel is open for guests and the public from 3:00PM to 10:00PM and is well monitored and surveilled.
Extended Stays: The Hotel Melrose is not intended for extended stays, but would love to host you for as long as we are able! Please contact our team at (970) 317-2176 for inquiries regarding a stay longer than 14 days.
Prices: Our room rates are determined by a dynamic pricing model and are subject to change.

Reservation Changes: If you made your reservation through a third party (Expedia, Travelocity, etc.) you will need to contact the booking agent/website that you went through in order to make any changes. If you booked through Hotel Melrose website, or made your reservation by calling the hotel, please contact a reservations agent at (970) 317-2176.
Parking: You may park anywhere near the hotel where parking is permitted and there is ample parking on Colorado Ave. By parking a vehicle near our facility, you (and your guests) are doing so on your own accord. The hotel does not take responsibility or accept liability for damage, accident or loss to your vehicle or personal property.
Accessibility: The Hotel Melrose is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA). We offer an accessible room within the hotel. Please ensure requests reach us by placing it in the comments section of the online reservation form, or by contacting us directly at (970) 317-2176 after the reservation has been made.
Force Majeure: The hotel and its manager shall be excused from liability for the failure or delay in the provision of a confirmed guest booking when such failure or delay is caused by or results from (but is not limited to) acts of God, fire, flood, explosion, earthquake, or other natural forces, war, or any cause beyond the reasonable control of the hotel or its manager. Such excuse from liability shall be effective only to the extent and duration of the event(s) causing the failure or delay in performance or the direct results from such event(s).
